It is a great privilege to be part of the Royal Scottish Academy’s 200th Anniversary Open Exhibition, and for our work [at far right, above] –

Calligraphies: Submerging: Natural Intelligence (NI): Large Physics Model (LPM), from our ‘Saltmarsh’ series, 2026

– to share a wall with the wonderful artists also being shown there [left to right]: Victoria Crowe, Philip Braham, Eileen Lawrence and [at foot, and freestanding elsewhere in the room] Jake Harvey – and to share a room with so many other excellent artists also.

We are also delighted that our contribution has won the Tonic Arts purchase Prize 2026.

The exhibition runs until 14 June, and is full of delights – many congratulations to the convener, Annie Cattrell RSA, and the other members of the selection and hanging committee: Anne Bevan RSA (Elect); Matthew Dalziel RSA; Graham Fagen RSA; Helen Flockhart RSA; Ilana Halperin RSA; Norman McBeath RSA; Louise Scullion RSA; and Edward Summerton RSA.

The artworks and other helpful information and links relevant to the artists may also be viewed online: www.rsaannualexhibition.org, and a selection of them in the beautiful catalogue.
